Megan Russell grew up in the Pacific Northwest where her love for marine life developed while exploring the Puget Sound. She pursued this passion further at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and received a B.S. in Marine Biology. After this, Megan went on to work for a variety of marine education organizations in the Florida Keys before returning to graduate school. Megan earned an M.S. in Biology at Western Washington University in the Marine and Estuarine Science Program. Her research focused on the effects of climate stressors on developing forage fish. She has since joined the Biosphere 2 team as a research specialist and hopes to continue studying the effects of climate on marine systems.
